Admissions Department | Chennai | 1 - 3 Years | Full Time
The Academic Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students regarding courses, career opportunities, and training programs offered by the institute. The role involves counselling students, handling inquiries, explaining course details, and supporting the admission process to help students make informed career decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide career guidance and academic counselling to prospective students and parents.
- Explain the course curriculum, training methodology, fee structure, and placement opportunities to students.
- Handle walk-ins, phone inquiries, emails, whats app and online leads related to admissions.
- Follow up with interested candidates to convert inquiries into enrollments.
- Maintain and update student enquiry and admission records in CRM or internal systems.
- Coordinate with the Academic and Placement teams to provide accurate course and career information.
- Conduct orientation sessions and career guidance sessions for students.
- Assist in student onboarding and documentation during the admission process.
- Ensure excellent student experience and communication throughout the counselling process.

- Ability to handle student queries and guide career decisions
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Commerce / Arts / Engineering or related field
- MBA or relevant experience in Education / Training / Admissions is preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in academic counselling, admissions, or education consulting (Freshers with strong communication skills may also apply).
